Today is Sunglasses Day. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to seek out the coolest pair of sunglasses you own. Posting a selfie, sporting these conversation-starting shades, is only part of your assignment.
Sunglasses Day, observed annually on June 27, is the brainchild of The Vision Council to raise awareness of the damage that ultraviolet rays inflict on your eyes. Mark this day as a reminder to wear glasses that block the dangerous glow. And although we tend to slack off during the winter months, they should be worn year-round.
Protect your peepers. Preserve your vision. You’ll look like a celebrity wherever you go. You may not be chased by paparazzi, but in the age of smartphones and social media, it never hurts to go incognito.
