On February 17, you’ll do it your way and I’ll do it my way because on My Way Day we both can shout, “It’s all about me!” Today is all about taking the reins and indulging your fancies.
This could be psychologically turbulent for those around you:
Irrational brides will impose on everyone to have things their way. Teenagers will steadfastly argue with parents to get their way. Toddlers will employ the dreaded temper tantrum tactic to get their way. However, on this one day, everyone gets to have things their way and, as long as everyone is properly briefed on the matter beforehand, eye rolls, tantrums, nagging, bribing and whining will not be necessary.
There could be a lot of backfires today since everyone gets their own way:
In a restaurant you get to order the meal your way, omitting and adding specific ingredients or swapping out one entrée for another. Just remember how Sally ordered her meals in “When Harry Met Sally” and follow her lead. However, you must remember that the chef may decide to prepare the order her way, whether you like it or not, because for her, it’s her day.
But today could also prove to be your chance to shine:
You’ve had the perfect idea to launch a project at work but others have scoffed. My Way Day affords you the opportunity to cast aside naysayers and put your idea to the test. Do it your way and you could reap the benefits of a huge success.
It’s your way or the highway and it only happens once a year. So whether you choose to sleep in or take the world by storm in your own unique style, savor it.
