Wallow In Wealth

With an origin as shrouded in enigma as the process of becoming one itself, Be A Millionaire Day has been celebrated on May 20 since at least 2015.

While who created it and why remain a mystery, it’s the one day a year where everyone can revel in the optimism of financial gain. After all, if the first trick to success is believing you can do it, this is the day that allows you to imagine you’re already halfway there.

There are at least seven million millionaires in the United States, more than in any other country on the planet. Although a million bucks isn’t quite what it was when John Jacob Astor became the first American millionaire in the early 1800s, it’s still a significant milestone of financial success.

While your celebrations can be as tongue-in-cheek as inviting all your friends over to play a round of Monopoly, it’s actually the perfect day to sideline your schedule in favor of some serious financial planning. Use the day to set some goals for yourself or establish your priorities.

Of course, if making money the traditional way will take you too long to achieve the coveted millionaire status, you can always use this day as an excuse to try your luck and buy a lottery ticket.

Whatever your road to rubbing shoulders with the one percent entails, this is your day to shine like a new penny. And if you’re already a millionaire, you can always use Be A Millionaire Day for scheming to get your next million.
